Actually Think not only can I read but I can count as well. According to the article, last year ~17% of the expected visitors failed to materialise, but assuming a similar drop-out rate this year then 43 thousand visitors should still arrive which is still up on last year. For a downward trend to continue at the same rate as before (since 2010/11) then fewer than 36,000 would need to arrive which would be an overestimation for this year of more than 30%. Anything better than that and the downward trend (by your numbers) has been reversed. Well I'm happy for them even if you aren't.
